“I was very happy with my stay with K2 in Cádiz. I came here for 3 weeks in July 2008 without knowing the city. What I found was a fantastic ambient and relationship between students and teachers who were all very dynamic and engaged in their role as a teacher. They let me find out more about Spanish culture during class (cuisine, festivities, music,…) or let us visit places of interest in the region. In terms of accommodation, I chose to share a flat with other students organised by K2. This way I got the chance to meet other students and their different cultures and was more independent than having stayed with a family.

Vermont Academy is a private coeducational boarding school, located in Saxtons River, Vermont and as the director of Study Abroad at this school; I would like to share our experience at K2 Internacional in Cadiz.
Every year, the language department at Vermont Academy organizes a three-week trip to Spain in order to give the Spanish students the opportunity to live an immersion experience in a Spanish speaking country. We have worked with K2 Internacional for four years already and our experience with them is improving year after year.
There are many factors that make K2 an excellent choice. The school is located in the center of the old town of Cadiz and the families that host the students live round the area, making it easy for them to get there for their daily classes and afternoon activities. Moreover, as Cadiz is a very safe town on the coast, the students have the possibility to enjoy the beach, the clear sun and make new friends during their free time.
The well qualified faculty at K2 and the warmth they create in every class and every activity help the students improve their fluency and get confidence towards the target language. By the end of the three weeks, the students feel not only more confident but also passionate about the Spanish culture and people.
During the weekends, there is always a trip to enjoy and learn, like going to Granada to visit the spectacular Alhambra or to Seville to visit the outstanding Cathedral. And during the week, the students have the chance to take flamenco classes, to go surfing or to cook a special Spanish recipe.
These are some of the factors that make K2 Internacional so special for us and I have no reservations about recommending the school to any institution interested in living a great and rewarding experience in Spain.
